A person known for their compulsive deception, duplicitous nature and ability to manipulate, traits usually exhibited during the commission of adultery or consumption of alcohol.

The word originates from the French word charlatan, in which a person makes elaborate claims of skill or knowledge, and the English word story, in which an event or series of events (in this case fictitious) are recounted.

Wow, that girl revealed herself to be a huge charlatastory when she announced at that Christmas party that she was accepted to Juilliard when auditions were not even held until after New Years.
