Widely regarded as being the ultimate real in the streets, “Trill” is a combination of “Too real” or “True and real”. Anyone deemed to be trill cannot be disrespected nor phased no matter what, because they keep it 100 all the time, 24/7.

trill is a slang word that mean true and real. i cant speak for the next man, but ugk was the first people to be heard sayin it. it has always been a dirty south hood term, for someone who basically handles their bidness and dosent mind bussin a head every now and again. people, places, or thangs can be considered trill. other people have differnent meanins, some people give it the meanin i just mentioned, or of one that has a deeper, more spiritual meanin. if someone of calls you trill, or if you want to consider yourself trill, just realize we dont use that term lightly around here, its a term of endearment.

The correct definition of trill is: to be true to ones self and real with all.

I want to thank everyone who put they meaning of trill in this dictionary. Some of you are on point and some are way off
This word was formed in 1986 by Eric Charon. (aka Sir Trill.) He took the words true and real to describe his demeanor. He spelled it Treal. He began to use it in the streets of Port Arthur. The word got to UGK rapper Bun B thru a mutual friend of Bun B and Sir Trill. UGK Then released they first underground record called the Southern Way in 1992 which they spelled the word t-r-i-l-l. This became the new spelling that is used today
