corkball

A variation of baseball that has been played in the St. Louis, MO, area since the early 1900s. Servicemen during World War II helped spread the game to other parts of the country. The game differs from baseball, stickball, and other bat-and-ball games in that there is no base running.

There are several corkball clubs in the St. Louis area, where the sport is still played at area parks with special corkball fields over a hundred years after it was first played.

Originated from an episode of Beavis and Butt-Head entitled "Incognito," which is the 4th episode in Season 3, where they say they are "in burrito" but meaning "incognito."

Sam: Are you going to Camille's party tonight?
Hector: Yep! But I'll be wearing a disguise because I'm going in burrito.

chvrch

This is an alternative spelling of the common word "church" but that also has an alternative meaning that is not found in common dictionaries. Instead of applying to a religious congregation of like-minded believers or worshippers of a specific deity (or the physical building or structure where they gather to worship), "chvrch" may often used to denote a group, gathering, or assembly of people with the same interest, hobby, passion, and so on. For example, "the chvrch of baseball" would apply to a group of people with an extreme passion and enthusiasm for the sport of baseball. Since this passion can often be seen as an almost religious affinity for such an interest, it's very similar to the passion of religious believers. The alternative spelling is simply used to differentiate it as such.
