G4 Purist
A G4 Purist is someone who has an intense and hostile allegiance to generation 4 of the My Little Pony franchise, more commonly known as Friendship is Magic. They often trash on other generations of My Little Pony for the most random and delusional reasons while somehow tying it all in to how G4 is, in their perspective, "literally the best generation of My Little Pony, and that nothing can top it." They will defend the show and say there is literally nothing wrong with it, despite multiple critics and normal fans pointing out some of its flaws. Their constant bickering of other generations, while praising G4 like it's the Jesus Christ of children's animated television, has caused Hasbro to treat generation 5 of MLP like shit and move forward with potentially rebooting G4 just to satisfy and nostalgia bait purists. However, there is a good chance that no matter what Hasbro decides to do next for the My Little Pony franchise, G4 purists will stir drama over it, simply because "it isn't G4."
Brian: Oh my god, this My Little Pony show is way too girly! The writing is abysmal! The characters are trash! Where is all the awesomeness and swag storytelling?! This isn't G4!
