Mara Salvatruchas means something like Gangster Salvadoran Soldiers....
Anyway, MS-13 is THE most dangerous gang in America, possibly the world. Why? THey have no purpose other than beating, shooting, and chopping up rival gang members...the problem is, they don't check to make sure someone's a rival before they kill them, they tend to stab first ask later. If you see MS-13 graffiti in your hood, don't freak out...most sets that claim Ms-13 are posers trying to get the same attention. Beware, MS-13 is nationwide and also in MExico and El Salvador.
They formed in a funny way....there was a war in El Salvador, so a bunch of Salvadorans moved to LA. THere, they copied the Mexicans in LA and made gangs. The cops busted and deported these gangsters.....and accidentally spread them across the border, multiplying theire numbers. They beat in their members to ensure toughness, and they attack with knives and machetes rather than guns because stabbing is more "up close and personal" so it creates real fear. So yeah...the real MS is scary as hell, the poser MS is laughable.
Colors are blue and white....don't confuse with Sur X3 who also uses blue and number 13.

Get the woop-woop mug.The above definition is partially correct. The thing where you slide on one foot and spell BLOOD with the other is just one move in Blood walking. Crip walking has a similar move except you cross out Blood after you spell it.

Get the blood walk mug.the B Bounce is the dance performed by Bloods for fun or to indicate Blood membership. The Crip walk is the parallel thing for Crips. Usually during the B Bounce you will spell your set with one foot and during the Crip walk you will spell you name, your set, Bloods and cross it out, or some other gang shit. The non-gangsta spinoff of the Blood Bounce is also called the bbounce or the bwalk, but like the clown walk is different from the Crip walk (clowning being the non-gangsta dance spinoff of Crippin), the dance bbounce is different from the gangsta Blood bounce in that it shares steps with the clown walk, and is much faster and flashier.

The reason Surenos use X3 is M is the thirteenth letter of the alphabet in spanish...i think..... the M stands for the MExican Mafia, a prison gang which is older than crips, bloods, and alot of other gangs! It dates from about the 1940's I think.
Anyway, Norte X4 and Sur X3 aren't really rivals cause the Nortenos are from NorCal and rep red and Surenos are from SoCal and rep blue, it actually goes back to the MExican Mafia in prison. The MExican Mafia is rivals with a prison gang called Nuestra Familia, Our Family in Spanish, which is way nortenos rep the N and F, and Nuestra Familia owns the Nortenos, like la eMe (mexican mafia) owns Southsiders.
