Kid-friendly version of ‘knife and fork’ - used in households where sharp blades are discouraged; thus keeping the word Knife out of the lexicon. For as long as possible anyway.

flaf
The annoying edge, or ‘flaf’, of a sticky label when trying to peel it off. Can be either the starting point which immediately and uselessly tears or the leftover smear once the label has been finally scraped away
