black bloc

during protests, the black bloc is the group of anarchists on their bikes wearing black hoodies with the hoods on, and a bandana over their face so only their eyes show. They are usually spotted heading off on breakaways and they do things like smash windows of corporations, refuse to obey police orders to disperse, and fight back during police brutality. However, they do not do this just for fun, or because they are bored. They have political agendas that no one agrees to accept or consider so they revert to agression to pique interests. They are also very much against the cops. Usually, Black blocs will erupt with their messages during critical political times (i.e. going to war with Iraq)
Here in San Francisco, the black blocs show up for just about every single protest, and they organize breakaways. However, they usually fail to incite any kind of rioting, save the one right after the first bomb was dropped in Iraq. Then, they shut down the financial distrct of this city, even though it had no affect.

What happened to the times when black blocs did REAL riots with and REAL damage???

puppet government

it's pretty self explanatory, but if it's still fuzzy, I have examples.

it's what we have in the states. and what iraq will have next week.

pesudo soveirnty (yeah, that word i can never spell)

don't you think it's odd that shrubya is smart enough to run a country but dumb enough to choke on a pretzel?

most people already know who is really running our country

Cursive

if i say this is an emo band, a lot of people will be turned off, but really it's allll fucking emo.

Tim Kasher is brilliant though, and they make great music. I have The Ugly Organ and Domestica and they are definitely some of my favorite CDs.

Tim Kasher used to be in a band with another person who is one of my favorites: Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. They used to be in Commander Venus or something. They're good friends. If you like Cursive, you might like Bright Eyes.
What's special about Cursive is that they have a celloist in their band. It's odd, but the cello adds a fantastic texture to the whole thing.

Tim Kasher's voice brims with emotions when he sings. I love that guy. BUt the time I went to see him for the Plea for Peace Tour, he was drunk as fuck and got the songs and lyrics mixed up. BUt he's great. Listen to him

zine

the word was coined around the 70s (way before I was born) during the days when people discarded all syllables but the last. (pizza = 'za, matches = 'ches... seems like only 'zine survived.)

So it's basically a crudely made magazine.

Mostly punk/poetic/indie/misunderstood/lost/artsy/goth/loner/whatever teenagers do it now.

They write/draw whatever they want on pieces of paper, photocopy, staple, and sell them for anywhere from a few dimes to a few bucks. Many are also free.

If you buy a zine for over $2, you got ripped.
In my opinion, if you charge more than a dollar, you suck. You've more than broken even, you blood sucking capitalist.

US CONSTITUTION

a document that is ignored by the United States whenever it deems appropriate, kind of like the Geneva Conventions
There is absolutely no consistency for when to follow the constitution, and when to ignore it.
