When one eats an excessively large portion of food in a single sitting which ends up taking a couple of days to digest. Usually accompanied with fasting.

"Hey Jim, we're going out for Mexican food, would you like to come? "

Seinfeld Tragedy 

A slight mistake or mishap that ends up costing you everything.

"I was at a restaurant and accidentally bumped into a guy eating his dinner. I apologized and I thought everything was alright. The guy turned out to be the president of the company I work for. The next day I was fired. It was a real seinfeld tragedy."
