A mix up of the words 'dongle', 'donkey kong' and 'lol'

fanbuoy

A word which makes fun of the unnecessary changing of letters in an existing word. The new term of 'fanbuoy' goes one step further by added an extra letter whilst also being punny.

The word carries the same meaning as 'fanboy / fanboi' and is not gender specific - it applies to both male and female.
