Southern Drawl

Usage of the colloquialistic pronounciations of the English languages spoken by those from the Southern United States. Usually these are created by drawing out vowels (Georgia becomes jawja, stringing words together get on outta here}, and generally making it impossible for any furners (foreigners; anyone not from or a resident of the South) to understand.

The good movie parts always go to New England bruisers or the California pretty boys, while us Southern folk are sterotipically cast as Rednecks with shotguns and a bad Southern Drawl.

brown out

A partial loss of power similar to a blackout, but with less intensity. May cause lights to flicker, electronic devices to turn on/off spontaneusly, etc.

California, in the midst of a constant energy crisis, is apt to have brown outs, especially during the summer.

Redneck slang for 'Georgia', without negative connotation like 'Bama'

Also known as an ellipsis, usually used to represent a word or phrase necessary for a complete syntactical construction but not necessary for understanding.
1) Often used at the end of a written sentence to denote trailing off See Yada Yada Yada
2) Used in response to a (written) incomprehensible statement or a rhetorical question

A car that permantly sits in the yard... Can be used as patio furniture or just as decoration for an obviously tasteful family

Boy, I went over to my aunt's trailer and it seems like they have a new yard car every 2 weeks.

To use, make use of, or apply to
Origin: When a card (credit, debit, discount, etc.) is thrown on a counter, it is said to have been 'flung'

Everytime my father went to a hotel, he always flung his AARP card down and demanded a senior rate.
I didn't have enough cash on me so i just flung my Visa and signed away my soul.
