A series of books that came out in the early 90's. It focuses on a popular, pretty blonde girl named Elena Gilbert who is after the new and mysterious boy at school from Italy, Stefan Salvatore.

Stefan, we soon discover, is a vampire who avoids Elena because she has an uncanny resemblance to a girl that he and his (sexy, badass) brother, Damon Salvatore, both fell in love with (Katherine Von Swartzschild) centuries ago. Both brothers murdered one another after Katherine killed herself and separated once they awoke in their vampiric state confused. Cut to the present and strange things begin to happen once Stefan arrives into town.

The Vampire Diaries series consists of:

The Awakening

The Struggle
The Fury
Dark Reunion
The Return: Nightfall
The Return: Shadow Souls (Release: 2/9/10)
The Return: Midnight (Release: 2010)

The CW has announced that they will be making a show based on the books. It will premiere on Sept. 10th, 2009 (which will change the look of the characters, history of the characters, eliminate/add characters, etc) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I will choose The Vampire Diaries over Twilight because it has a better plot, more supernatural beings, characters with personalitites, and because it's main character is the furthest thing from a Mary Sue.

Also known as Cluedo in England (were it originated)

Is a classic "whodunit" board game. The players try to find out who killed Mr. Bobby in his own estate. The original game consists of:

*9 rooms (Hall, Lounge, dinning room, kitchen, ballroom, conservatory, billiard room, library, and study)

*6 weapons (rope, wrench, candle stick, revolver, knife, and a lead pipe)

*6 characters

Dr. Black/Mr. Bobby- The murdered character

Professor Plum- The intellectual absent-minded professor

Mrs. Peacock- elder, wealthy and attractive dame whose been widowed one too many times.....

Mr. Green- The hypocritical evangelist or tycoon (in some versions)

Mrs. White- The frazzled maid

Colonel Mustard- The military man

Miss Scarlet- Sexy and cunning. The stock femme fatale character (my personal fav)

***On August 8, 2008, Hasbro redesigned and updated (changed) the board, characters, weapons, and rooms.
Player: "I can never win Clue. I have no idea who the killer could be"

Me: "I suggest it was Miss Scarlet, in the lounge, with a revolver"

An amazingly brilliant band who will go down in history with the greats and whose music will become classics!
"If Jack Daniels was a band, it would sound like this" lol!!

After being forced to listen and see the rise of "musicians" such as Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Fallout Boy, My Chemical Romance it's nice to see that the Z Generation will end up with at least 1 damn good band that will surely end up becoming legends!

Me: I thought music died until I heard Kings of Leon.

A very good combination (along with syrup) eaten by most people who will probably deny it when asked in public in front of others because it is associated with lower class people (particularly white trash) and sounds gross.
Me: I love scrambled eggs with ketchup. I'm telling you those rich folks don't know what they're missing!

Brash, arrogant, dark, sadistic, charming, seductive, loyal, affectionate, dangerous, and sexy. These are all words to describe Damon, a vampire who preys on humans, from the series "The Vampire Diaries". My favorite character from the books because he's a total badass with a soft side.

He is said to have dark hair and a 'dark beauty and grace and the sensuality that drew women to him like moths to a flame.' He wears all black and leather, has a black Ferrari with illegally-tinted windows.

He was born during the Renaissance in Florence, Italy. There both he and his brother and rival, Stefan Salvatore, fell in love with a woman (and vampire) named Katherine Von Swartzschild who exchanged blood with both of them and refused to choose between the 2 brothers. She killed herself and both brothers murdered each other in a rage (but not before Damon swore to make Stefan's life a living hell for the rest of his life), woke up in their vampiric state and separated in their confusion. Over 500 years later, Damon is drawn to Fell's Church where he finds his brother head over heels in love with the beautiful Elena Gilbert--who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine--and soon strange things begin to happen in the town...

Quotes:
Stefan: "Sometimes I think you could remember the name of every girl you've bled in your life, but you forget my name on a regular basis"
Damon: "Nonsense...little brother"

(To Elena) Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about anyone else.

ELENA: Where's Stefan?
DAMON: Stefan who?
Friend: (eagerly) Edward Cullen or Damon Salvatore?

Me: Edward who?
