a prejudice against teenagers because of their age or inexperience in society. This is usually held by adults and shown through pressures put on kids and distrust and ignorance. Similar to racism and sexism, childism can also be a blatant hatred of teens based on stereotypes (which are often wildly incorrect).
Principals: Children are constantly tired and never trying hard enough in class. The work they hand in is always half-assed and they're always on their phones.
Teens: Well actually we're all fucking depressed and stressed out all the time because of the amount of pressure we receive from school. We stay up all night doing homework and assessments that won't account to anything and so we're constantly tired and sleep-deprived. We try really hard with our work but since all of our 9 subjects are asking so much of us, it's hard to perform amazingly as you want. And on top of that, the only relief we get is from disassociating through social media and talking to our friends. Most kids would literally rather die than deal with school. The system is broken and needs fixing.
Principals: You should try harder. We ALL went through school so you can too.
Teens: Bruh thats such childism.
