NECKNELT
The police term for knelling on a suspect to force compliance. The officer applies their entire body weight onto the suspect using the knee, directly into the neck where it meets the shoulder, in order to stop blood flow to the head. The technique was created by female officer Jessica Vernon, who is a self defense group leader in Los altos ca, where she works as an officer.
Officers apply the dangerous NECKNELT, even when safe alternatives, like using a taser are available. The NECKNELT should be outlawed in CA, just like the chokehold now is.
