This 'ally abuse' is perfectly illustrated by the random actions against allies of the United States of America - by the United States of America. Both punitive tariffs outside a formal agreement, and, the 'on again, off again' nature of threats to implement said trading tariffs constitute Ally abuse. In the above example, in 2025, Donald Trump engaged in "Ally abuse" against its formal trading partners, Mexico and Canada.
