Martha: He calls me every night but claims he's too busy to meet. Classic scotch-egg behaviour.

To damn one with insincerity, in particular, deceiving many lovers into believing that you want to pursur a future with them. Adamning is most commonly performed as an act of self-validation, or to gain sex. (Originates from the distinctive behaviour of Adam Collard, love island series 4)
