Sony, the megacompany that made these 'partner' or 'personal' robots didn't see this coming I'm sure, but cobots (=collaborative robots. The science of making them is called 'cobotics'), are not always our friend: there's a culture of 'applied autonomy' that send these mere MIs (Machine Intelligents), to dangerous places and risky situations instead of humans in what is named aptly 'inverse technology'! One day these tele-robotics will retaliate against this injustice!

In a recent article in trendwatching.com, one can read about what founder Reinier Evers has called the 'Youniverse' of the 'massclass' of 'trysumers' who now can buy their own 'massclusives' blah blah blah...
First they called it New Economy (the 90s' e-boom-and-bust)... then it became known as the New New Economy (the humble, non-spending 'techwrecks'/ also refers to the 00s' rising nanotech and pharma market). But, what about now? You answered yourself...It's the Now Economy now!

The reverse of the Big Bang! This is what has been called the 'Cosmic Katrina', by worried astrophysicists who predict that a large, earth-crossing 'doomsday rock' will hit the Earth and cause a large-scale extinction of living organisms!
This recent 'asteroid anxiety' has prompted the UN to start what it called an 'asteroid defense' program that plans to put into the 'killer' asteroid's rock structure a space 'bullet': a fly-by-satellite mini-nuke weapon that rides on the asteroid using its own 'microgravity' and then plant the bomb inside its hollow to blow it.
PHAs (potentially-hazardous asteroids) are various in size and impactability-risk and two scales have been put to calculate the risk against the Big Splat:
-The Torino Scale (uses a scale from 0 - 10 for regular impactability).
-The Palermo Scale (uses stats from average-sized NEOs 'near-earth objects' over a long period of time, on a scale from -2 - 0).
