(Perhaps they should even consider starting a celebstitute fund to ensure that this seemingly bottomless supply of willing distractions is kept spray-tanned and Ed-Hardied to their hearts' content.)

The term used to describe the increasingly trendy self-promotional gimmick of checking into rehab in a desperate bid to gain or regain fame.
It seems that more and more people are becoming famous for bad behavior these days. Release a sex tape, sleep with a married celebrity, check yourself into mehab, and… boom! Just like that you have your own show.
