When something is trying too hard to look or sound cool by using repetitive or cliche elements of coolness.

Khan: My terraria mod has an assassin-mage boss in a cloak, dual wielding flaming sickles in reverse grip! His name is magus quindrius the spellfire!

Lil guy slop

When one gives a small, cute, or "lil guy" character strong, overpowered, or annoying ability (usually in video games)

Examples of "lil guy slop" are Jeff the land shark from marvel rivals, or jetpack cat from overwatch.

Indie dev: "Im going to add a little dog character that has abilities like teleporting and lasers"
