Portmanteau of 'collaboration' and 'innovation'. Collaborative innovation as defined by very large numbers of people coming together to create truly unique ideas.

Used frequently in tech start-ups with a web focus, or whom just like using buzzwords.

Bringing thousands of people's waste materials together to make new and unique products is true collabovation.
