five mile smile

A method used by London gangsters to scar up their victims. A cut is made at the edge of both sides of the mouth then the victim is kicked in the groin very hard. As he screams the flesh on both cheeks are ripped apart leaving terrible scaring.

I wish some would give George W Bush a five mile smile.

turk

South London term meaning to beat up, assault, hospitalise etc. Derived from 'The Turks' a gang of London mobsters of the 1950's renowned for their violent punishment beatings.

Blue Oyster Cult

NYC rock band formed in 1970 by rock svengalli Sandy Pearlman from the ashes of two other NY bands 'Soft White Under Belly' and 'The Stalk Forest Group' Have released some rather good intelligent rock albums including 'Tyranny and Mutation' (1972)
'Cultosaurus Erectus' (1979) and 'Imaginos' (1989) but are best remembered for their 1976 album 'Agents of Fortune' and its international hit single '(Don't Fear) The Reaper'

UK biker slang. Any beard or pubic hair growth of extrodinary magnitude. Named after the famous texas blues rock band of the same name for obvious reasons.

wonderwall

An object of facination. Term originates from the title of an obscure 1960's British arthouse film about a guy who becomes obsessed with the young couple he can see making love through a small hole in his bedroom wall. More recently the term has been revived thanks to a song of the same name by brit poppers Oasis

Wonderwall (the song) was also a hit for spoof UK easy listerning band 'The Mike Flowers Pops'

A political party in the UK sworn to the rise of the upper and middle classes at the expense of the poorest in society.

A bunch of reactionary, racist, land owning bigots who take hypocrasy, corruption and outdated monetrist dogma to a new high.
