The first time I saw this bands' video (on MTV,coincidentally...),I truly,truly though they were a fake band.
Seriously,I though they were a rip on all these lame glam metal revitalists (Bullets And Octane anyone?),kind of a Spinal Tap for the emo generation.
But,no,they are a REAL band. Aww,man...a rip on themselves.
Good grief,how could anybody claim this band are anything but hilarious?
Watch their "Sease The Day" video for a laugh.

Portland

Think Seattle without the grunge.
Or New Jersey without the emo.
And you're halfway there.
Also has a blooming gay hustler scene and is home to many gutter punks. It's a cool place to live if you're a liberal. Probably not that great if you're conservative,but who gives a crap about them really? :P
Oh,and the guy who wrote Fight Club come from Portland,so it's GOTTA be cool.

Any band put together by corporate machines to feed off the pre-pubescent or teen audience:in other words,a band not about music but about money,fame and greed.
Always consist of preety boys,used to latch on to horny teenage girls with a non-threatning image.
Just another word for lame,really.

Boybands: 60% of what they play on MTV (the other 40% being 20% hip-hop 19% rap and 1% good music.)

Jesus Freak

Off-set of Christianity which brings shame to real Christians. The emos of religion if you will.
Crazy people who take the already fucked up laws of Christinaity to the extreme. They like Hell Houses,throwing holy water all over the place and George Bush. Oh,and Mel Gibson.
Jesus Freaks fear/loathe two thing: Slayer and Bill Hicks.

The Jesus Freak took her nine year old to see The Passion Of The Christ,then later that day she went to a rally to get Brokeback Mountain banned from cinemas.

Me: "Hey,why did Jesus walk on water?"
JesusFreak: "Well-"
Me:"Everyone knows, SHIT FLOATS!"

queer eye for the straight guy

Hilarious show where five gay guys help to turn around the life of a straight guy.
Unfortunatlwy this show also reinforces stereotypes. (IE:Gay men are all camp and stylish,straight men are all incompetent and dirty)
Still, it's near damn hysterical sometimes.
Even if you do feel guilty afterwards for being a tad homophobic.
