Middle ground 

Copromise.

Middle ground, common ground, compromise, negotiation, or any other way you want to say it, is one side getting the best of another. There are things you have to keep fighting for to keep the ground you have, there is no room for compromise.

Arrogance

Arrogance can come from youth or old age, not just one or the other. Assuming that somebody else envies your youth is arrogance of youth if it isn't based on reality. For example, if a person that lived through the 80s (or 70s, or decades before) wouldn't trade their time during those years for youth, since youth would mean they missed out on all that time and mostly just remember the 90's or 2000's, then they are not envious of anybody's youth. They had their own youth, and they are where they are now, and that is fine with them, because they'd rather be themself than a younger version of themself, or you.

Arrogance can be there at any age. The kind of person that assumes someone else envies their youth must envy the youth of people younger than themselves, and yet not every younger person would make or has made such a narcissistic assumption about other people.

Knuckles 

A nickname some people have that they don't like.

The girl looked in the mirror one day and saw knuckles the echidna looking back at her from the other side, and couldn't decide whether to laugh or get infuriated, so she looked around for someone to ask if it was them trying to be funny and not the one in the mirror.

Sounds like a cut of meat from a piglet. Kind of like veal comes from a calf, a baby cow.

Milwaukee Bucks 

Sports writers that write about Phoenix having an easy street to the NBA Finals due to injuries on opposing teams but don't mention the route Milwaukee took to get there forget that Milwaukee played an injury filled Atlanta Hawks team and an injury filled Brooklyn Nets team (just like the Atlanta Hawks played an injury filled Philadelphia team to get to the conference finals with Milwaukee). If a game is thrown before it ever starts, there is no getting a prediction about it wrong.

The Milwaukee Bucks played a lot of injury filled teams to get to the NBA Finals.

New toy 

The shiny, fresh one that just came out the box with no dust on it.

He/she might have been the new toy speaking the new language, had lazers on his/her head and could fly, Andy might have even loved the new toy more than his original toys, but they knew deep down that they loved Andy more.
