The girl wasn't actually Victorian, but she called herself that because it made her feel tougher/scarier than she actually was. She wasn't really alive during the Victorian era.

Protesting

Protesting doesn't really do anything, it's always going to end up being someone other than the protestors in charge at the end of the day, and that person is always going to try and calm them. What's the point? It's a waste of everyone's time and nothing changes.

The people in charge along with everybody who is not in charge and also not part of the protests laugh at protestors. At least everybody not protesting is getting something accomplished that day, or those days (and nights).

Tyrant

A tyrant says your end of town is swanky, even though they grew up in a bigger house than you did and have more money. Then, when you point out that a tyrant lives a swanky life or call the tyrant a rich kid, a tyrant calls it a cliche.

A tyrant out-hypocrites a hypocrite at everything.

Flag

Nothing but a piece of fabric if you dont hold it sacred, which is a lot like going to church and kneeling when you dont believe in god. So, what are you really there for besides taking money out of the collection basket if you're pretending to honor something nobody else can see either?

The guy/girl didnt believe in a flag or anything else, and expected everyone else to apologize, compromise, or change their way of doing things until they didnt believe in anything either. The guy/girl didnt believe in god, but was too chicken shit not to say god bless you when somebody sneezed, that way nobody would call him/her an atheist.
