Get the Odlidmug. 1. A great tropical fruit that can be made into great juice and flavour for desserts. The fruit is in ball shape, it becomes dark purple in colour when ripe, with white flesh inside that has sweet & sour taste. The word for this fruit is believed to be originated from a conversation between a foreigner and a female Thai fruit seller in some market.

Which is incorrect, because the word is originated from a Malay word, manggustan, and that's also where a Thai word of "Mangkud" starts.

Get the Mangosteenmug. A mispronunciation of a baseball team of Chicago White Sox by a middle aged Japanese male news announcer on NHK about 15 years ago, which became a hilarious meme for couple years.
This similar incident also happened with Boston Red Sox about the same time, which was mispronounced by a Japanese female news announcer on Fuji TV.
