Emo is short for emotional, a four syllable longer word. Emo people may be more sensitive, or live their lives more guided by feelings.

Emo people do not have to be self-destructive, they usually rely on feelings more than reasoning.

The disorder of the mind. Unlimited growth of thoughts that are unhealthy and unproductive, recurring over and over.

Mark seems to be having a hard time getting over the divorce and getting on with his life. I think he has mind cancer.

To not guard your heart, your true feelings and desires. Your heart is now on your sleeve where anybody or anything can bump into it and break it. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is not to be confused with genuineness or openness. It is a condition of weakness. (See Iago in Shakespeare)
