Secular leftist's definitions
The NDP is short for the New Democratic Party. It was began after the Canadian Labour Congress and the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation united. This party is a moderate leftist one, comprised of mainly Social democrats, however subscribers to Democratic Socialism also populate this party.

Get the NDPmug. Social Progressivism is the view that as time progress so should societal morality (from Wikipedia). Social progressives advocate for morality to be based on advancements in Science and philosophy, rather than religious dogma.
Social Progressivism is opposed to Social conservativism. While Social Conservativies advocated to keep slavery, Social progressives opposed it. Social progressives also campaigned for the right to vote for women. Today they advocate equal marriage and a women's right to choose.

Get the Social Progressivismmug. Liberalism is a political philosophy-ideology favouring centrist-laissez-faire economics, willing to comprimise a bit. Additionally, liberalism advocates for the invidualist freedoms, including democratic rights. They support a democracy. Liberals are also advocate of separation of church and state, open-disscusion, Social Progressivism and centrism.
Liberalism has it's own radicalized variations, not centristic. One such radicalized variation is Libertarianism. In the US, people confuse liberals with Social democrats, democratic socialists, and anyone not a conservative. Liberals, however, differ from Social democrats in not supporting too many government funded programs, being more to the right. They are, although, willing to make comprimises with them and conservatives.

Get the Liberalismmug. An economic posisistion favouring more collectivity/cooperation in making resource using decisions. This can either be done by state planning or using communes.
Leftism includes philosophies whose goals are absolute state control/planning, such as in Communism or Democratic Socialism, or the moderate political philosophers, who want only some collective cooperation, such as Social democrats.

A Social democrat is a centre-leftist or libertarian leftist, who supports a mixed economy with some government regulation on essential services or government ownership, in order to prevent corperat abuse of these services. Social democrats also support environment regulation, public education to level out the playing field, and social programes to help the less fortunate become better off.
Social democrats include Canada's NDP and many Northern European governments, which contributed to Northern Europe's modern Hight standard of living.

Get the Social democratmug. Deletionism (noun deletionist) is a Wikipedian Philosophy advocating for deleting unpopular or famous stubs. Deletionists want Wikipedia to be similar to a paper Encyclopaedia. So, Wikipedia would have only a few, very long, articles.
Deletionism is quite irritating. They don't support whether or not the information on Wikipedia is valid, or can be expanded, they take the easy way out. They delete it rather than edit it!

Get the Deletionismmug. Exclusionism (noun exclusionist) is a Wikipedian philosophy advocating for exclusion of in-depth information in Wikipedia articles, in order to make it more "readable".
Exclusionism is contrasted with Inclusionism, wanting in-depth/large/multiple articles and Deletionism, wanting a few large articles.
