This is a pretty good state that has a rich history and was a far more Unionist, not Confederate, state during the Civil War. Yet many people, but definetely not all, try to act and appear like they are pro-Southerners, mant of those people being rednecks. This is why a great majority of people see the whole state as Appalachia, full of incest and bare-footed hillbilly culture. Despite all the negative things there, Kentucky is a great state. It was orignally settled by people from both Virginia and Pennsylvania. It has 4 metropolitan statistical areas: Louisville, Lexington, Owensboro, and Covington.
Kentucky is supposed to be a pro-Unionist Midwestern state who does most of its business with Indiana and Ohio.
