Used by the US Army Infantry to describe a non-combat MOS such as cooks, office goons (S-Shops, HHC, personal secretaries/drivers, company level administrative platoons), motor pool mechanics, useless TRADOC NCOs/Officers (that never deployed), NPC busybodies, aviation and other support elements. SF, Rangers, Delta, Army combat divers, EOD, and 160th are definitely not "pogues". GWOT was a different story. Artillery, Military Police, and Combat Engineers ended up doing similar/same jobs and conditions to Infantry early on in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their were also numerous support personnel that received CABs (Combat Action Badges), Purple Hearts, Distinguished Fly Crosses, Air Medals, and gallantry etc. These service members might not be considered "pogues". Medics, some doctors, nurses, or anyone that works in a medical while deployed in a combat zone should be classified as a "non-pogues", especially during GWOT. Helicopter pilots and some crew chiefs could be considered "non-pogues" Such as CH/MH-47 CW pilots/crew chiefs, UH/MH-60 CW pilots/crew chiefs, OH-58 CW pilots, and OH-6 CW pilots. Apache pilots are not included, because a majority are retarded like enlisted Tankers (19K) so they are considered "pogue" ASF. Commissioned pilots are definitely, "Pogues". "Pogues" could also be described as civilians/tactards/fakes that did not serve in the military described by veteran personnel after they served.
That boomer with the "9/11 was an inside job" on the back bumper of that GMC Sierra shit box is a total pogue POS.
