scoot 'n shoot 

A sick maneuver attempted by those playing Gears of War, in which the player goes into a run, gets right up next to their opponent, then pulls the trigger with shotty. Guaranteed to blow them into pieces every time.
*note:
often cooler when you dive backwards after performing a scoot 'n shoot
