mass shooting apathy

The condition by which our horror over the reports of innocent lives taken, families destroyed, and not enough done to put an end to such gun based mass casualty violence, over time, leads to mere head nods of sadness given how commonplace they have become, and how in order for us to get through the day, we must block out what we felt over "Sandy Hook" or "Columbine," or "Parkland," multiplied by the number of times it has happened since.

It is sad how, while the one hand, I feel terrible over the most recent mass shooting, my mass shooting apathy has kicked as a survival mechanism, and made me feel less than I did when I first heard of the "Columbine" incident.

Stupish

The intersection of where stupid and selfish behavior collide.

Do you have any idea how stupish it is for you to be texting and driving!? How stupid is it that you can't wait to pull over to read and respond to a text? How selfish is it that you put yourself, others, your and other people's vehicles, not to mention pedestrians and other property at risk by this action?!!!

Floozednightch: Such a brilliant word to describe a "gasoline powered turtleneck sweater." Talk about your relevance?! ..everyone's wearing one, everyone's talking about them, the stores can't keep them in stock, and they're all over social media!!! The garment begs for a single word definition! Dam you urban dictionary police!
