Tagging Crew

A neighborhood crew defined by the act of tagging—spraying symbols, letters, or codes on walls, buildings, and street corners. Tagging crews often operate like a street crew, sometimes claiming ties to larger gangs, but most focus on visibility, reputation, and psychological control over actual violence.
“That tagging crew from the Westside turned every alley into their gallery—they don’t need guns to run their block.”

BPSN (Detroit)

Detroit Westside clique rooted in Black P. Stone Nation (Chicago) with LA Jungle Stone Bloods ties. Turf along West 7 Mile & Telegraph (“7TEL/7ELE/07B”) and Seven Mile–Rouge corridor. Historically strong, now largely symbolic; Hyena Crips (83GC) & ScoreGang (SCRG) dominates former tags.
“BPSN (Detroit) still shows up on West 7 Mile with El Rukn symbols, but ScoreGang’s takeover of the old tags makes their Detroit presence mostly ceremonial.”

7ELE/07B

Detroit MOB Assassin Pirus (Defunct)

A defunct Compton-linked Piru set that operated on Detroit’s Westside, mainly around W. Seven Mile & Fenton and the Beyond the Gates Apartments. Once allied with BPSN and rivals of Brightmoor GDs, their territory was taken over by 5Point Nation Crips (SCRG/BJSG) between 2022–2024.
The Detroit MOB Assassin Pirus (Defunct) used to run the Beyond the Gates Apartments, but by 2024, 5PN had fully replaced their tags and control.”—Five Points local

Wall Bangin

The act of representing your crew through graffiti—marking walls, buses, or rival territory with your tag while being ready to defend it. It’s part art, part warfare, where a spray can replaces the pistol but the pride runs just as deep.
Started as graffiti beef, evolved into real street rivalries. Cross out the wrong tag, and you might catch more than paint in return.
Wall bangin ain’t just writing—it’s reppin your name where anyone can see it, and daring someone to cross it out.
