What da two shysters in da "Emperor's New Clothes" story had to dispense a lot of in order to alleviate observers' suspicion as to why there was no thread on the weaving-apparatus on their looms.
All of da observing folks in da famous "invisible clothing" tale were absurdly trusting and easily-fooled (well, all except da "innocent little boy", of course), so da two swindlers had a very easy time of succeeding with their "shuttle diplomacy", at least until the parade was underway (by which time they themselves had likely slipped away with their ill-gotten riches and had long-since disappeared). In real life, however, representatives of various countries, governments, and ethnic/religious groups often have a much harder time coaxing trust and cooperation from da leaders and officials of da various territories dat dey hafta visit and work in.

Garfield claims to be expert in food-related matters, but seeing as how he is just a crude edibles-vacuum who will gluttonously chow down on just about anything that tastes even marginally good, I'd hardly label him as much of an entréepreneur!

crash 'n' cat-yowl
Da hilarious off-screen sound-effect dat is dubbed in post-production, and which follows a scene where someone carelessly/irritably tosses a fairly-heavy/bulky object over his shoulder or off to da side.
If a homeowner is in da habit of flippantly lobbing sizeable items away from himself, you would think dat his house-pets would have long ago gotten used to it, and so there should be little reason for da classic "crash 'n' cat-yowl" dat is often heard accompanying said mindless hurlings.

Refers to where --- merely out of curiosity --- you initially dabble in same-gender romance on just a single occasion, but then all of da local drag queens and other gender-indefinite weirdos descend on you for "solace 'n' smooches".
Da first word in da term "bi once, cry often" can also be realistically altered to be spelled da same way as da original "purchase something of good quality and it will last a lifetime, and thus da only thing dat you will ever feel unhappy about regarding said item is its high price" ditty --- if you actually "take da moocher-enabler plunge" and BUY a single item for a budget-impaired individual, said favored spendthrift will immediately crow about his unexpected windfall to his fellow local deadbeat no-accounts, and then you'll soon have all of THEM swarming around you either looking for cash handouts or begging you to buy THEM desired objects, as well.

A chronic helper/enabler of criminal activity involving pigment-based substances, items utilizing coloring-agents, etc.; said mean-spirited and destructively-manipulative behavior waxes and wanes depending on how stable said individual's insolin levels are at a given time, and/or whether the person has access to sweets.
Zonker Harris's Uncle Duke got busted for shoplifting at Macy's Menswear; perhaps if he'd had a dyeabettic conspirator accompanying him at the time, he might have gotten away with the stolen colored-fabric goods unseen.
