The root of “continue”. It means to start something over after an interruption or hitch. I’ll go through the process on how it became continue. “Con-“ means jointly (in this case), and to start something again from the point you ended off at, essentially joining them (hence the use of “con-“), you get “continue”.

Get the Tinue mug.The root of “Allow”. It means to actively block or de-promote something. I’ll go through the process on how it became continue. “A-“ means not (in this case), and to promote or permit something, essentially NOT llowing it (hence the use of “a-“), you “a-llow” it. As it is the root, it is pronounced just like “allow” without the “a”.

Get the Llow mug.Created from the root “do”, it describes someone who is a follower or copycat. The “fo-“ means “secondary” and the “-er” means “someone who…”, so fodoer means “someone who does something after another”.

Get the Fodoer mug.The root of “titter”. It means to laugh loudly from nervousness or embarrassment, usually in an awkward manner. I’ll go through the process on how it became continue. “Tit-“ (haha) means small (in this case), and to laugh in a half-suppressed way from amusement, nervousness, or embarrassment (basically to ter in a surpressed way) is to titter.

Get the Ter mug.The root form of “concert”. It means a performance for one person. I’ll walk you through how we got to “concert”. The root “con-“ means together in this case. If you were to go to a performance with your friend, essentially a cert together, you would have a con-cert. In English, we remove hyphens that don’t break up 3-letter groups when we add a prefix/suffix, so “concert”.

Get the Cert mug.Root of “control”. It means the two parties are equal. The together prefix, “con-“, adds the linkage and therefore the power dynamic between the two parties, which is how “control” was made.

Get the Trol mug.Emklež is a shortened dialect of standard “English” that uses only 13 letters to represent the usual 26 plus “sh” and “ch”. It’s what would happen if future speakers got lazy, and if you just sound everything out (the ž is pronounced like the “s” in “measure”), it sounds like someone is speaking it very poorly. Very efficient for writing, not for reading.
