Actually, vans are a lot cheaper than Reebok or Nike. They are also made of cheaper materials and worn bu the un-exoteric social outcasts.
I wouldn't wear vans even if you payed me to. I'll stick with my Reebok Classics, thank-you very much.

Nike Shox 

Nike's premier footwear as of current times. More suited to the heavier runner. Origianally, there were "springs" under the heel to provide a cushion. The current generation of shox has springs at the front-sides in addition to the heel springs.
