A word usually meaning a building or place that produces something on a large, industrial scale.

In slang, sometimes added to the end of another word to reference something or a place that produces or conducts routinely of the aforementioned word, I.E a hospital being called a "surgery factory."

John works in a factory that produces bricks.
Albert works in a hospital, but his friends call it the Surgery Factory.
