A type of transmission used in newer cars as a compromise between the sporty side of a manual, and the easy shifting of an automatic. Most cars with this type of transmission are more expensive. The compromise is basically a gear selector where a button us pushed to move it to the right, then up and down in a sequential manner.

the slang for the .40 smith and wesson. a compromise between the notorious 9mm and the venerable 45acp. it packs a punch, as well as a large clip. a popular round for self-defense as well as police. it is similar is the 10mm, which is the same diameter but a long and thus more powerful case.
