It has nothing to do with the original Saint Nicholas and is made to change the meaning of Christmas, which is the celebration of the Birth of Jesus. If you change the letters around the world, Santa Claus can be changed to Satan Lucas (which is not a coincidence). Santa Claus is meant to make people greedy, by thinking they should get presents on Christmas when the only thing they should be doing then is resting, being with family, and celebrating the Birth of Jesus by saying prayers.

They also always go on stupid vacations to warm places that have sand, trying to tan themselves thinking they'll look any better even though they won't and don't.
