QFL are rocks, either igneous, sedimentary, or metamorphic, and sands that are counted to be quartz (Q), feldspar (F), and/or lithic fragments (L). One of the most counted rocks is chert, a lithic fragment that is sometimes known to be quartz. QFL can be classified in the QFL diagram or QFL triangle.

An appendectomy, also called appendisectomy or appendicectomy, is a surgical operation in which the vermiform appendix (a portion of the intestine) is removed. Appendectomy is normally performed as an urgent or emergency procedure to treat acute appendicitis.
