high schooler

A pejorative slang term for adult children (usually a young adult in his / her 20's) who cannot afford moving out from parents' house, resulting in an indefinite student-teacher relationship behween aforementioned adult child and parents.
People sometimes use high schooler to mean an adult in their 20s who still lives with their parents and feels stuck in a student–teacher dynamic. Nonetheless, I’m basically a high schooler at home—staying with my parents longer than expected because I can’t afford moving out yet.
