A dungeon is one of the primary tropes in D&D(Dungeons & Dragons). In RPG terminology it is a closed environment usually having many enemies and treasure. Any respectable dungeon should have at least 8-10 levels with at least 50-100 rooms per level as a minimum. If a dungeon is smaller than this it is a mini-dungeon.
Exploring a dungeon in D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) is fun at an extreme level, providing that you have a good referee.

Dungeons & Dragons is D&D now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) published in 1974 was originally created by Dave (David Lance) Arneson in his home campaign called Blackmoor in 1971. After Dave Arneson introduced Gary Gygax to the game in 1972, Gygax took Arnesons unique transcendent creative concept and added a few of his own ideas and wrote the game published as D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) .
D&D(Dungeons & Dragons)is now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) to separate it from all of the later inferior game versions bearing the names D&D and AD&D. The D&D versions referred to as 3.x, 4E and 5E are descended from the AD&D line and not from the original D&D line of games.
OD&D is the best and greatest of all roleplaying games and all other games are cheap inferior knockoffs of the original gem. OD&D is the One True Game.

A dungeon is one of the primary tropes in D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) and a Mega-Dungeon is the true example of a properly designed dungeon. In RPG terminology it is a closed environment usually having many enemies and treasure. A Mega-Dungeon is very large and has 20 or more levels and has 500 rooms per level and up. TETSNBN is the Edition That Shall Not Be Named an acronym created by a member of Dragonsfoot as a term for the banned topic of 3E (3rd Ed D&D). this term was used frequently in the past and also currently on Dragonsfoot and is one of a list of several acronyms that users of Dragonsfoot need to know.. A Term used to refer to the 3rd edition and the 3.5 edition of the Dungeons & Dragons game (produced) by Wizards of the Coast, used primarily by those who prefer the earlier (TSR-produced) versions. TETSNBN is pronounced “tets bin”. See also TATSNBN. This term was coined in 2004 and has been in wide use since then.
Discussion of TETSNBN is not allowed on Dragonsfoot. There are many other forums that were created specifically for the discussion of TETSNBN, this is not one of them.

Dragonsfoot is an online association of fans of 1st Ed AD&D, the group as a whole look down on all other versions of D&D/AD&D(2nd ED AD&D, OD&D, Classic D&D). The website is notorious in the RPG community for its members extreme hatred of the more recent editions of D&D (3.xE-4E-5E) and its current publishers Wizards of the Coast.
This site claims to be old school, but the vast majority of its members reject the DIY origins of the game. A few members from K & K Alehouse can dictate the banning of members that they do not like. It is notorious for the many internet flame wars that have resulted from the majorities refusal to allow any views that deviate from the "ONE TRUE WAY TO PLAY" which is the anti-DIY view imported from Knights & Knaves Alehouse. This anti-DIY view is characterized by extreme hatred of the Arneson & Gygax style of play. This faux "ONE TRUE WAY TO PLAY" is anti-DIY & anti-old school. They ban the most creative people from the site.
There is no "ONE TRUE WAY TO PLAY"; however, it should be noted that DIY is the original intended type of play for which the Original Dungeons & Dragons was designed to facilitate.
There is "ONE TRUE GAME" and that is the Original Dungeons & Dragons.
The truth and the facts can get you banned. It is a very unfriendly echo chamber and the only good thing is the huge amount of fan made gaming materials available for download.
Dragonsfoot members freely admit, Dragonsfoot is like a gay bar.

Dragonsfoot is a great place to go to get free fan made gaming materials. It is not a good place to discuss real old school DIY gaming.
