A beard that someone always has. It is different from a beard that is grown for a change of pace, special occasion, or out of lazily deciding not to shave. Despite not shaving, men who have these beards must maintain them to keep them at an appropriate length.

Person 1: Matt's beard is impressive. Did he just grow it?

Person 2: No, it's a permabeard.
