Bitch switch

The switch that changes individuals, namely women, into an irrational, emotional rage.

She was cool, until her boyfriend looked at another woman and flipped her bitch switch.

Cassandra Syndrome

1) The condition of speaking the truth and having no one believe you.

2) The condition of being able to predict the future, be it the outcome of a particular event, or the reactions of others to the same event, and having no one believe your prophecy until it transpires.

3) Being able to see or understand things long before others, often resulting in them coming to the same conclusions long after your own initial analysis.

(All definitions come from Cassandra, the queen in Greek mythology who was appointed by Apollo with an inability to lie, yet cursed by having no one believe her prophecies.)

Yaktivist

1. Someone who is all talk and no action. (Comes from "yakking" and "activist," and the expression "All yak and no sack"); The opposite of a pragmatist.

2. Someone with a penchant for conjuring false hopes.

3. An expert at bluffing.

1. "She keeps saying she'll quit her job, but her co-workers know she's just a yaktivist."

2. "Whenever his father promised to take him to the zoo, he had a feeling his father was just being a yaktivist."

3. "He always wins at poker because no one can tell when he's got a good hand and when he's being a yaktivist."

Whelm

1. To be swept beneath by a wave.

2. (To be) the effect of experiencing something of mediocre quality ; -ing; -ed

3. Neither good nor bad, simply existing

The movie last night was completely whelming.

I thought I would be excited by the fair, but I was whelmed at best.

To vomit (Spelled and pronounced the same as the famous Icelandic singer of the same name.); -ing, -ed

1. Someone with a sexual preference towards females.
2. A heterosexual male.
3. A lesbian.

I always though he was gay, but it turns out he's actually a cat person.
