Nakhon Pathom

The Thai equivalent of Detroit. Once an up-and-coming city, it suddenly filed for bankruptcy. Now most of the city are slummy, low-income areas. Crime is rampant, and the city is owned by a corrupt mafia family who are trying to destroy the city's history. It has a cool temple in the center of town though (Phra Pathommachedi).

Man 1: Hey, what happened to Mark?
Man 2: He went to Nakhon Pathom and was murdered in a drive-by shooting.
Man 1: Dang, Nakhon Pathom has a cool temple though.
