kiddie coin-op cartoon theater

A arcade machine that was used in retail & drug stores that showed Animated shorts from Walter Lantz ,TerryToons & other animated shorts from the 1940's & 1950's Children paid 25 cents & sat inside the machine to view 7 minute cartoons starring Woody Woodpecker,Mighty Mouse & other animated shorts.
When I was a kid, we went to the local Ben Franklin to shop & mom or grandma always gives me 25 cents for the kiddie coin-op cartoon theater to see cartoons while they shop.

superstations

A term used to describes a high powered tv or radio station that could be reached to millions of viewers & listeners using high power broadcasting antennas that are up to 100,000 watts strong. Superstations usally have a range of 200-400 miles (for television station) & on over 900-1000 miles (for radio station including night broadcast) & this was before,cable,satellite tv & internet services made thier apperances!
KTLA,XEJ,KNXT(Now KCBS)CJON,KSTM,XEW,KNME are t.v. sperstations & KNX,KCBS-AM,WHO,KSL-AM,KOY-AM,WSM-AM,XPRS,XEROK & WBAF are radio superstations.

Americanizing

AKA Westernized. What certian animation companies do by getting the broadcasting rights for Japanese Anime or any other non English speaking animated series by (a) Changing certain characters so in wouldn't offend veiwers ,
(b)changing the entire storyline by Americanizing or Westernizing it including references to local food,culture, or language (c) Elimiating all or most of the original signs or other aspects of the animation's "home language" or replacing it with garbled translations,(e) changing the original score with a very shoddy music score that is not worth listening to, (g) changing character name from there oringinal language to more americanized or westernized versions (i.e. Hiroshi= Henry) & (g) taking out or severing certain scenes that might frighten or "traumatize" younger viewers or no showing or banning the episode all together due to the contents that the episode has.
4kids Entertainment, & the now defuncted DiC productions & Saban Entertainment were well known of Americanizing such shows as One Piece, Sailor Moon, Maple Town, Samurai Pizza Cats, Hallo Spencer, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, & many others.

The "evil twin" of the tooth fairy who leaves instead of cash for kids teeth these wee little meanies let painful cavities inside the kids teeth in thier wake.
