Fighting game terminology.
Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter are inherently shotos. Calling another character a shoto is essentially comparing them to Ryu and Ken.
Typically, "shoto" means having equivalents to the Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukpaku. However, main characters and gi-wearing characters are also sometimes put under the label.

An ethnic group who've lived in the rainforests of Central Africa for tens of thousands of years.
Yes, "baka" is also the Japanese word for "idiot". No, that's not a good excuse for using the word "pygmy" instead.

The Baka people, known in the Congo as Bayaka (Bebayaka, Bebayaga, Bibaya), are an ethnic group inhabiting the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon, northern Republic of Congo, northern Gabon, and southwestern Central African Republic. They are sometimes called a subgroup of the Twa, but the two peoples are not closely related. Likewise, the name "Baka" is sometimes mistakenly applied to other peoples of the area who, like the Baka and Twa, have been historically called pygmies, a term that is no longer considered respectful. citation needed
