I used the CRAAP test, to identify an article to check and see if it passes the test. The title of the article is,“What is the American Dream? Examples and how to measure it”(Barone). I chose this article because I think it breaks down a detailed review of what ‘The American Dream is.’ Along with this it provides background research, evidence from books, and different perspectives. First I looked at the paragraphs in the article. It has around thirty paragraphs that are all well organized. Bullet points are used to clearly explain certain sections. The article was updated on November 13, 2023. So I know that the information is fairly new, or at least has been reviewed and is suitable to be presented. The information is pretty detailed in the sense that it is concise and understandable. However it is a broad topic and there's room for interpretation. How serious they took the event is what is humorous. The ridiculousness of the situation, and how important the event is to them, draws people in to watch. People want to see what's going to happen in their world, and how each situation will play out. I think the cutting back and forth from each character also lets the audience experience humor from different scenes, which makes it so the film stays interesting.

The idea that these characters who are all different, prioritize their dogs and treat them as their children. It's something that they all have in common, this brings them together. Another film I think that has resonated in real life, is the Barbie Movie. The Barbie movie really got people's attention. People were advertising and hyping up the film. I remember walking into stores and they had new sections of Barbies on display. I think kids who were fans, went out and bought Barbie dolls. And the people who grew up with Barbie got to enjoy the movie, it appealed to them as well. I think this is similar to Best in Show. Dog lovers embraced it, and new audiences were drawn to dogs, and dog shows. People were definitely more inclined to go and buy a dog after seeing this movie. I think pop culture has to be able to attract multiple audiences in order for it to be successful. I think that is what is done very well with both of these topics, and movies.

I think Max is viewed as more of a side character in a way. I think because this film is a part of a movie series, other characters need to have a bigger story arc, in order for the films to continue. This helps so new ideas can be brought to light.
