WorldNetDaily

Started by Joseph Farah, WorldNetDaily is a supposed news source, but they cite no references or sources. Their stories appear as "news" on other media outlets, but WorldNet is listed as the source. Popularity seems to be exclusive to the radically-neoconservative, the "religious right" and others of their ilk. Their stock-in-trade is misconstruing facts, blowing things all out of proportions, and out-and-out fabrication of their "news" stories.

Basically, they do for bullshit what Stonehenge did for rocks.

Some of their greatest misses:

Soy will make you gay

8-year old boy wants to be a girl

Photos of Hillary Clinton crying

basically any kind of crackpot, half-baked bullshit they can make up is passed on as news. A favorite source for Fox News, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter.

I just read on WorldNetDaily that we won't go to heaven until God comes back!

You're an idiot.

wordness

A statement encompassing the feeling of the term word, but with a greater degree of emotion. It is used when the the term word itself feels inadequate.
Person A: Why do Western men find themselves in places like Thai brothels or Parisian S&M clubs? Could it be that the modern, media-saturated society has desensitized us into not getting any enjoyment out of the most common of physical expressions? For those who enjoy delving into masochism, don't you think it signifies a sort of regression back to our primitive nature? If so, don't you think this is just a harbinger of further regressions in our daily lives?

Person B: Wordness.
wordness by dequinix August 2, 2006
A person who loves the written word more than life itself, spending as much free time as possible reading random books, stories online, newspaper etc. Prefering to read silently than to watch TV and movies, or camping and such.
"My inner wordnerd loves the online variety of the written word"

"I'm not a bookworm, I am a wordnerd. Bookworms only read books. I read EVERYTHING"

Wordette

Def: To agree, to acknowledge. Best used in the context of "I love you" conversations when a male prefers to avoid those words even though he loves his lady friend in return.

Synonym: Word

Note: When a lady says "I love you" to her man-friend, research shows that most woman don't expect them to say it back, but do expect them to say something supportive or comforting. Using a neutral and sensitive term of agreement, like "wordette," will probably land you a BJ.
Example 1:

Lady-friend: "Its a nice day to make out in the gazebo."
Man-friend: "Wordette."
Lady-friend: "You're so cute =)"

Example 2:

Lady-Friend: "Just wanted to say I love you and hope you are having a great day!"
Man-Friend: "Word"
Lady-Friend: "Umm I think I would have prefered no response to word... (Blah Blah Blah)"

Wordnesia

the act of not being able to remember a specific word for the context of which you are speaking. A form of amnesia.
While in the middle of speaking, the professor suffered a wordnesia attack; he was unable to recall the word he was about to use.
