declutter 

To eliminate extraneous things or information, as in "It's time to declutter your life." This can apply to cleaning up a room or location, but can also apply to cleaning up computer files or removing unnecessary information from your brain or even a specific discussion. It is often used in a loose way to refer to eliminating unnecessary stressors from your life/situation, like someone talking about decluttering their life by breaking up with a significant other. It can also be spelled with a hyphen: de-clutter (decluttered, decluttering).

We need to declutter our basement before we buy anything else.
We are decluttering our basement.
I really need to break up with Joey and declutter my life.
It's time to declutter your hard drive.

Def: to undo someone elses' clusterfuck, or mess.

"I walked into work today and spent the first 4 hours in declusterfication mode: Bob had really made a clusterfuck out of things!"

"Joe had really made a clusterfuck of that situation with Mary. I felt obliged to slip into declusterfication mode, and try to fix things between them."

"I'm on my way into the ER to declusterfy since Dr. Steve has things in a clusterfuck!"
