Like "before I/we forget," "by the bye" means the speaker (or writer) is going to change the subject. It comes from "by" (meaning "near") "the bye" (the closing, where we say "goodbye.") So it means, "before we say bye, let me also tell you...."

the bye effect 

The Bye effect is a psychological phenomenon rarely experienced under the influence of psychoactive substances.
This phenomenon happens in three different stages;
First stage: When an individual is too high on a psychoactive substance (eg. LSD), they experience the thought that they want to stay under the influence for the rest of their life, and to never come down from the high.
Second stage: After the first stage, they then start to sober up and regain full cognitive clarity. Coming to the conclusion they’ll never do drugs again.
Third stage: After the individual is fully sober after said high/trip, they come to another conclusion, seemingly comical and refreshing at the time, that they were “tweaking” and would probably do the same the very next night.

The Iceland Good-bye 

When your mother passed away and was cremated; she always had one wish for her ashes. It's an Iceland tradition for her son's friends to fuck/pee/cum in the urn at the same time. Once this has been completed, we bring the ashes back to the motherland and do the traditional Viking funeral of burning them at sea.

This is what my mother always wanted. I didn't let them know until after she passed. They took on the challenge and we went out there and gave her the Iceland Good-Bye. I will always love and appreciate my friends for doing what my mother always wanted.
