Lemon Racing 

Lemon racing is the act of having a group of friends(you included) finding the most crappy worthless vehicle you can rent borrow or own, and racing other people who also found such vehicles. a byproduct of this type of racing is usually cars breaking down or exploding.

the reason why lemon racing is called "lemon" is because lemon is a term for a terrible car.
